Film is Still Cool

So my son Oliver and his chum really think my old cameras are cool. I even have an old move 8mm camera that you had to wind up to run.

The camera on the left in this photo was actually the first 35mm camera I used in learning photography. I got it from my dad… well, it was my dad’s and maybe he never really got it back after I started using it 🙂

So the kids are shooting a few rolls of B/W film and we’ll see (and maybe post!) how they do. 

And it’s no surprise they both have Minecraft shirts on. That same tinkering ideas they do in their gaming is just what you need to get an old camera to work, learn the ‘sunny 16 rule’ and load film in the real world.
