About HuthPhoto, LLC

Who’s HuthPhoto & why should I care?

PR photographer for business, publications, medical/tech, massive events & theatre — based in Durham, NC.
Great Photos | No Stress

One of my earliest clients was the Associated Press, which gave such great experience on working fast, getting the shot and never wasting people’s time. Our office focused on business stories, which is a specialty I still love today—my heart is with entrepreneurs, small business, & non-profits making a difference in the world.

How we’re different:

Taking photos that really tell a story is our passion. When a photo grabs you and makes you look — when you really learn something about the subject— we feel satisfied.

We love to create something much more than the few images you expect, but something more, like our photo stories show.

We also have tons of experience with top national brands, so we can brainstorm some really awesome coverage for you, as well as create unique, social and interactive uses for your photos.

What we are known for: Theatre | Universities | Med/Tech

I work extensively for colleges like Duke, RIT and the University of Rochester, as well as covering lead stories in medical and donor publications for the Duke School of Nursing, URMC/Strong Hospital,  Wilmot Cancer Center, Golisano Children’s Hospital and more.

I also LOVE theatre photography, and have over 23 seasons at the largest NY regional theatre outside of NYC, Geva Theatre Center. We also do the key PR images, cast parties and some shows for the 2nd largest theater in the country, the Durham Performing Arts Center (DPAC) in Durham NC.

Why should you care?

I hear from so many clients that photo shoots & dealing with photographers is just plain stressful. We’re told that working with us is very  different, and I guess the proof is that the majority of our clients have been loyally with us for over ten years— we’ve even had multiple clients with us for over 20 years!

I number my clients as friends, and the work we do together as truly fun… and meaningful. We make a difference every day, by making some kid at a Y camp feel special, or by telling the world about the amazing things your company is up to.

Please contact us and let’s chat about what cool stuff we can create together.

You have no idea how much of a relief it was to work with you.

I didn’t worry about the photos at all (and how great they turned out is the proof of the whole thing!!!)
I knew our photography was in good hands, and could focus on my event!

We LOVE Ken’s photos! And it’s rare to find a photographer who can be so flexible…relating as well to a toddler as to a neurosurgeon.
