Did you see our presentation at the 21st Century News Booth,
or are you just wondering how we did live web updates?

Taking the Photos:
Most of the time, we are all using our pro cameras (Canon Mark3's, 5D, and RIT uses Nikon D's)
But we can also do wireless transfer of the photos from the cameras using an inexpensive SD format card from
EyeFi. That replaces hooking your camera up to your computer, and the EyeFi software can be programmed to auto upload to Flickr, KodakGallery, etc.

Photo Organization:

We edit and do minor photo tweaks in iPhoto, then upload the photos to
Flickr.com via software on the computer, or even via e-mail. In iPhoto, we use a star rating system, the create a 'smart album' that finds all photos taken that day with, lets say, 3 stars and above. We could upload to Flickr directly from iPhoto using FlickrExport and we could edit in Aperture (which we use for our day-to-day editing).

Web Site:
The sit is created on the Mac using RapidWeaver ( 2 Seconds of GeekSpeak: RapidWeaver is a Template based, CSS web site app).

Putting it all into Galleries:
The final link is using the RapidFlickr page plugin to create the photo pages. RapidFlickr runs up to Flickr and checks for photos using certain 'tags' we've attached, or ones we've told to be in certain 'sets'. One set is called 'Wow Center' and one is 'Coolest'... get it?!

Note
: No company paid us to plug their stuff... this is just to share one way to get photos quickly to the web during an event.
