The Y celebrated shattering all previous goals for their ‘Invest in Youth’ campaign (Helps families afford Y services and so many kids to go to camp). I had an amazing time and they even gave me one stylin’ shirt to wear
With my Y groovy gals: Karen, Katie, Heather and Mary Kay (who thinks these things up!)
Geva is doing a fantastic job with the dark tale of Sweeney Todd. I’ve loved the whole process, from reading the play, watching the DVD of the Broadway cast… and even especially the crazy fire drill we had during final dress!
The cast of Sweeney Todd @ Geva Theatre Center stormed the streets of Rochester… OK, we had a fire drill during final dress… I guess cuz’ they are so dang hot! There we were on the street at 11pm, freezing cold… but as theatre folks do, we had a blast. They wanted snaps goofing off and shots of them with the firemen. Then we all traipsed back in and in five minutes got back to the show… what a fun memory. My best to everyone on the run. Really one of my favorite memories from my 17 seasons at Geva!
See, even on the bad streets of Rochester, the fair Johanna is protected by her lover
This summer I had a blast at the YMCA Camps ‘Big Event’. To prove I’ll do anything to get photos, here are some snaps. I was shooting on their Splash Pad, getting soaked with and by the kids. Laying down to get the best shots. Glad the new EOS 1D MarkIII is waterproof.
Here are some of the shots I got there, using the 16-35mm… love it!
I went to Mac-Ave to get Colin the new iPod Touch and they have the ultra-comfy Sanuk sandle-shoes. Man, these are great for the days in the office Aperture editing (and goofing off synching up my latest RiffTrax in iMovie).
So I’m diggin these, even though they are a bit pricy. I look cool and my feet don’t hurt. I think this is one of those self-indulgent blog posts that give blogging a bad name… but it’s what I’m having fun with today
